Lovable pricing: plans, credits and what a month costs

Lovable is free for 5 credits a day; Pro starts at $25 a month (or $250 a year) for 100 credits. Every credit tier, top-up price and limit, November 2026.

Lovable is free to start, with 5 build credits a day (up to 30 a month), and its paid Pro plan costs $25 a month, or $250 a year on annual billing, for 100 monthly credits plus the same 5 daily credits. Business starts at $50 a month for 100 credits. Both plans scale up through ten larger credit tiers, to $2,250 a month for 10,000 credits on Pro, all as of November 4, 2026.

We haven’t built apps on Lovable ourselves. The figures come from Lovable’s documentation (subscription plans, credits and usage, top-ups, out-of-credits and subscription pages) and its pricing page FAQ, all read November 4, 2026, and from AskGPU’s own data where noted. Lovable’s pricing page loads its plan cards with JavaScript, so the plan prices here come from the price tables in Lovable’s subscription-plans doc. Cost-per-credit figures, yearly totals and the scenarios are our arithmetic.

How much does Lovable cost per month?

There are four plans. Free and the two paid plans share the same daily and monthly grants; what changes is the number of monthly credits you buy and the features around them.

Plan Price Monthly credits Daily build credits Monthly Cloud / AI grants
Free $0 None 5 a day, capped at 30 a month 20 Cloud, 4 AI
Pro From $25 a month, or $250 a year From 100 5 a day 20 Cloud, 4 AI
Business From $50 a month, or $500 a year From 100 5 a day 20 Cloud, 4 AI
Enterprise Custom, through sales Volume-based None None

Source: Lovable docs, subscription plans and credits and usage, read November 4, 2026. AskGPU’s own data (checked October 17, 2026) has the same Free and $25 Pro figures.

Lovable also gives a monthly connector grant of 1 credit on Free, Pro and Business, and a daily chat allowance whose size it doesn’t publish. Pro and Business get “a larger daily chat allowance than Free,” the chat-mode doc says.

Plans are not priced per seat. Lovable’s pricing FAQ says workspaces allow unlimited members on every plan and that inviting people doesn’t change the price; more members simply use up the shared credits faster.

What does each credit tier cost?

Pro and Business are each sold in eleven tiers. The prices below are Lovable’s, from its subscription-plans doc. The price per credit is our division (monthly price ÷ monthly credits, or yearly price ÷ 12 ÷ monthly credits).

Pro

Monthly credits Monthly billing Annual billing Per credit, monthly Per credit, annual
100 $25 $250 ($21/mo) $0.250 $0.208
200 $50 $500 ($42/mo) $0.250 $0.208
400 $100 $1,000 ($84/mo) $0.250 $0.208
800 $200 $2,000 ($167/mo) $0.250 $0.208
1,200 $294 $2,940 ($245/mo) $0.245 $0.204
2,000 $480 $4,800 ($400/mo) $0.240 $0.200
3,000 $705 $7,050 ($588/mo) $0.235 $0.196
4,000 $920 $9,200 ($767/mo) $0.230 $0.192
5,000 $1,125 $11,250 ($938/mo) $0.225 $0.188
7,500 $1,688 $16,880 ($1,407/mo) $0.225 $0.188
10,000 $2,250 $22,500 ($1,875/mo) $0.225 $0.188

Business

Monthly credits Monthly billing Annual billing Per credit, monthly
100 $50 $500 ($42/mo) $0.50
200 $100 $1,000 ($84/mo) $0.50
400 $200 $2,000 ($167/mo) $0.50
800 $400 $4,000 ($334/mo) $0.50
1,200 $588 $5,880 ($490/mo) $0.49
2,000 $960 $9,600 ($800/mo) $0.48
3,000 $1,410 $14,100 ($1,175/mo) $0.47
4,000 $1,840 $18,400 ($1,534/mo) $0.46
5,000 $2,250 $22,500 ($1,875/mo) $0.45
7,500 $3,300 $33,000 ($2,750/mo) $0.44
10,000 $4,300 $43,000 ($3,584/mo) $0.43

Two things stand out:

  • Volume discounts start only at 1,200 credits. Up to 800 credits a month, every Pro credit costs the same $0.25. The biggest tiers bring that down to $0.225, a 10% discount.
  • A Business credit costs twice a Pro credit at the same tier. You pay the extra for features (SSO, roles, design templates, a data processing agreement), not for more building.

How much do you save with annual billing?

Lovable says annual billing gives “two months free,” and the tables bear that out at every tier: the yearly price is ten times the monthly one.

  • Pro 100, monthly: 12 × $25 = $300 a year
  • Pro 100, annual: $250 a year
  • Saving: $300 − $250 = $50, or 16.7%

At Pro 400 the same arithmetic gives 12 × $100 = $1,200 against $1,000, a $200 saving. At Business 100 it’s 12 × $50 = $600 against $500.

On annual billing the credits still arrive monthly, and they stay valid until one month after the annual period ends, per Lovable’s docs. Lovable doesn’t refund the current billing period when you cancel (see below), so a year paid up front is a year committed.

How do Lovable credits work, and what does a prompt cost?

One shared balance pays for five kinds of usage: building, chat, Cloud (hosting and the built-in backend), the AI gateway (AI calls your published app makes) and connectors billed through Lovable. Credits come in two layers:

  1. Usage-specific grants, spent first: the daily chat allowance, the 5 daily build credits, and the monthly Cloud (20), AI (4) and connector (1) grants.
  2. General credits: your monthly plan credits, rollover, top-ups and bonuses. Lovable spends the ones closest to expiry first.

Build prompts are usage-based. Lovable doesn’t charge a flat price per message in Build mode. Its credits doc gives these examples, which it calls illustrative:

Prompt Credits
Make the button gray 0.50
Remove the footer 0.90
Add authentication 1.20
Build a landing page with images 2.00

Plan mode costs 1 credit per message, plus any research it runs. Chat costs “typically a fraction of a credit” per message and draws on the daily chat allowance first. The chat-mode doc says this chat pricing applies “through October 31, 2026” and calls it a “temporary offering”; the doc still showed that date when we read it on November 4, so check it before relying on cheap chat.

Long Build runs pause at a check-in point, 20 credits by default. If you stop a request, you pay for the work done so far; a request stopped before it changed the project isn’t charged.

Worked example: what 100 credits buy. At Lovable’s sample rates, 100 credits cover 200 small edits like the gray button (100 ÷ 0.5), about 83 “add authentication”-sized changes (100 ÷ 1.2) or 50 landing pages with images (100 ÷ 2). Real projects mix all of these, and Lovable doesn’t publish a typical per-app total, so treat these as upper and lower bounds, not a forecast.

Is Lovable free? What the Free plan includes

Yes. Free costs nothing and, per Lovable’s subscription-plans doc, includes:

  • 5 build credits a day, reset at 00:00 UTC, capped at 30 a month. Once you reach 30, they stop until the 1st of the next month. Daily credits don’t roll over.
  • 20 Cloud credits and 4 AI credits a month for a published app’s backend and AI calls, reset on the 1st of each calendar month.
  • Unlimited members, private projects, Git sync and custom connectors.
  • Publishing to invited people, up to 10 per project.

What Free leaves out, according to the same doc: editing and downloading code in Lovable, custom domains, removing the “Edit with Lovable” badge, design systems, credit rollover and top-ups. Free projects run on the smallest database instance, Tiny. AskGPU’s data (checked October 17, 2026) also lists 5 lovable.app domains on Free.

How far do 30 credits go? At the illustrative rates above, 30 credits are 60 gray-button edits or 15 landing pages a month. On Free you can’t buy more; the only way to more credits is a paid plan.

Free apps can be unpublished later: Lovable’s subscription doc says an app with no visits or owner logins for 12 months or more, and no custom domain, may be unpublished, with the project kept and owners emailed first.

What do top-ups cost, and when are they worth it?

Pro and Business workspaces can buy extra credits; Free can’t. Lovable’s top-up doc prices them per 50 credits:

Plan Price per 50 credits Per credit Compared with the 100-credit plan tier
Pro $15 $0.30 20% more than $0.25
Business $30 $0.60 20% more than $0.50

Top-ups come in sizes from 50 to 10,000 credits and last 12 months from purchase. Auto top-up is available, with a default of 100 credits each time the balance falls to 25 credits, and a default monthly cap of 400 credits. That cap resets on the 1st of each calendar month (00:00 UTC), not on your billing date.

Worked example: a heavy month on Pro. A solo founder on Pro 100 needs about 300 credits this month and builds on 22 working days.

  • Credits on hand: 100 monthly + (22 × 5 daily) = 210
  • Shortfall: 300 − 210 = 90, so two 50-credit packs: 2 × $15 = $30
  • Month’s cost: $25 + $30 = $55

Moving to Pro 200 instead gives 200 + 110 = 310 credits for $50, $5 less, and the extra plan credits roll over. If you run short more than once, a bigger tier beats top-ups; top-ups make sense for a one-off spike, since they last a year and a tier change carries into every month.

The daily build credits count only on days you use them. They expire at the end of each UTC day, so 5 × 30 = 150 extra credits a month is a ceiling, not an allowance you can bank.

What does hosting a live app on Lovable Cloud cost?

This is the part of the bill Lovable says least about. Its docs say Cloud usage is metered across database server, database storage, network, file storage, compute and realtime, and that “larger instance sizes support more traffic but use more credits.” But neither the credits doc nor the project-usage and database pages give a per-hour or per-GB rate. Lovable shows an “Estimated monthly cost” for each instance size inside the project’s Manage instance dialog, based on the last 30 days of usage.

What Lovable does publish:

  • Every plan gets 20 Cloud credits and 4 AI credits a month. When Lovable folded the old separate Cloud and AI balances into credits, it converted them at $0.25 a credit on Pro and $0.50 on Business. At the Pro rate, the 20-credit Cloud grant is worth $5 of usage (20 × $0.25) and the AI grant $1.
  • Small apps are usually covered. The pricing FAQ says “for most users with smaller or new apps, hosting (running an app on Lovable) does not cost anything,” and that apps with heavy traffic or size may draw on your credit balance.
  • Storage only goes up. The minimum database storage is 8 GB; you can raise it (to at most 5 times the current size per change) but never lower it, and stored files keep using credits even while a project is paused.
  • Instance sizes run from Tiny (the Free default) through Mini, Small, Medium, Large and X-Large on paid plans.

When the credits run out, building stops, AI features in your published app fail silently, and the built-in backend pauses. Lovable’s out-of-credits doc says “your published site stays live,” and that it keeps the data, but you can’t reach or export it until the backend runs again. Daily build credits can’t keep the backend running. For an app with real users, that’s the case for setting a low-balance alert or auto top-up.

What to watch for

  • Credits expire. Monthly plan credits expire two months after they’re issued on monthly billing (one month after the annual period ends on annual). Daily credits and the Cloud, AI and connector grants never roll over. Top-up and referral credits last 12 months.
  • No refunds. Lovable’s subscription doc says that when you cancel it “does not refund the current billing period,” and the pricing FAQ says credits “aren’t refundable or redeemable for cash.”
  • Cancelling freezes credits. You keep your plan until the end of the billing period, then drop to Free. Unused plan and rollover credits are frozen and come back only if you re-subscribe before they expire. Top-ups and bonuses stay usable.
  • Downgrades wait. A lower tier starts at the next billing period; upgrades apply at once, and from one paid tier to another you get only the difference in credits.
  • Domains bought through Lovable are priced at checkout, not on a public page. The domain doc says purchase and renewal prices may differ and auto-renew is on by default. Compare with typical registrar prices in our domain cost guide.
  • Chat pricing is temporary. Lovable’s own doc dates it to October 31, 2026.
  • Usage limits. Pro and Business let admins set per-member credit limits and alerts; Free doesn’t.

Student discount

Lovable offers students and teachers 50% off Pro 100 on monthly billing, for up to 12 months. Verification uses an academic email at lovable.dev/students, works only from a Free workspace, and can be used once per person. Higher tiers, annual billing and top-ups are excluded; top-ups are charged at the standard price.

At 50% off, Pro 100 works out to $12.50 a month: 12 × $12.50 = $150 for the first year, against $250 on annual billing or $300 paying monthly at full price.

Lovable vs Bolt, Replit and Base44 on price

The units don’t convert. A Lovable credit, a Bolt token and a Base44 message credit each buy a different amount of work, and none of the companies publishes a conversion. The clearest price difference is for teams: five people on Lovable Business 100 pay $50 a month in total, while five on Bolt Teams pay 5 × $30 = $150, though Lovable’s 100 credits are then shared by all five. More detail is in our Bolt.new pricing guide, our Base44 pricing guide and the Replit tool page.

Which Lovable plan should you choose?

  • Trying it or building a small personal project: Free. 30 credits a month is enough to test whether Lovable suits you, but you can’t add a custom domain or remove the badge.
  • Student or teacher: Pro 100 at 50% off, $12.50 a month, if you’re eligible.
  • Launching one real app: Pro 100, $25 a month. Switch to $250 a year only once you know you’ll keep it, since there are no refunds.
  • Building most days: Pro 200 or 400. Every Pro credit up to 800 costs the same $0.25, so pick the tier that matches your usual month and use top-ups ($0.30 a credit) only for spikes.
  • A team that needs SSO, roles or a DPA: Business, from $50 a month. You pay double per credit, so keep heavy building on a Pro workspace if the governance features aren’t required.
  • An app with steady traffic: any paid plan, with a low-balance alert or auto top-up, because Lovable doesn’t publish Cloud rates and the backend pauses at zero.

What a whole app costs once you add a domain, email and AI APIs is in our real cost of vibe coding tools. For other builders, see Lovable alternatives and the AI app builders hub.
