8 Lovable alternatives (2026): AI app builders compared on price and free plans
Bolt.new, Replit, v0, Base44, Hostinger AI Builder, Bubble, Dyad and Softr compared: what each costs, what the free plan really gives you, and how their credits or tokens run out.

Lovable turns a chat into a working web app, with hosting and a database built in. Pro costs $25 a month for 100 credits, and the free plan gives 5 credits a day, up to 30 a month.
The friction is credits. Lovable’s own docs show a simple colour change using half a credit and a landing page with generated images using two, so a busy week can burn through a month’s allowance, and unused monthly credits expire after two months.
So we compared eight alternatives on what matters when you’re building: what the cheapest paid plan costs, what the free plan really includes, how usage is counted and capped, and whether you can take your code with you. Every price below comes from each tool’s own pricing page or docs, checked on October 17, 2026.

1 Bolt.newOur pick
- Paid from
- $25/month (Pro, billed monthly)
- Free
- Free plan: 300K tokens a day, 1M tokens a month
- Best for
- The closest Lovable swap, with a generous free plan
Bolt.new, from StackBlitz, builds, runs and deploys web apps from a chat in your browser, much like Lovable. The difference shows in the free plan: it already includes website hosting, unlimited databases and private projects.
On Pro you pay by tokens rather than credits, starting at 10 million a month with no daily limit, and what you don't use rolls over for a month. That makes heavy weeks and quiet weeks even out.
What's good
- Free plan includes hosting, unlimited databases and public and private projects
- Pro starts at 10M tokens a month with no daily limit, and unused tokens roll over
- Pro adds custom domains, removes Bolt branding and lets you choose the database provider
Watch out for
- Free sites carry Bolt branding and are capped at 300K tokens a day
- Rolled-over tokens last one extra month; Teams tokens aren't shared between members

2 Replit
- Paid from
- $20/month (Core, billed monthly)
- Free
- A free Starter plan is described in the docs, not on the pricing page
- Best for
- Developers who want a full coding environment behind the AI agent
Replit Agent builds and publishes apps from plain-language prompts, inside a full browser-based coding environment, so you can drop into the code whenever the agent gets stuck.
Core is $20 a month and includes $20 of credit for more capable models. Pricing is "effort-based": a complex request costs more than a simple one, and Replit doesn't publish a fixed price per step, so set the budget limits it offers.
What's good
- Core includes $20 a month toward more capable models
- Usage alerts and budget limits act as hard spending caps
- Pro ($100/month) adds 10 parallel agents and database rollback up to 28 days
Watch out for
- Effort-based pricing: no fixed price per step is published
- On the free Starter plan, the one published app goes down after 30 days and shows a 'Made with Replit' badge

3 v0
- Paid from
- $30/user/month (Plus, includes $30 of credits)
- Free
- Free plan: $5 of one-time credits and 7 messages a day
- Best for
- Next.js and React apps that will live on Vercel
v0 is Vercel's AI app builder: it generates web apps from prompts and deploys them straight to Vercel, with GitHub sync and a visual Design Mode on every plan.
Unlike most builders here, v0 publishes its token prices per model, from v0 Mini at $0.20 per million input tokens up to v0 Max at $5. That makes the bill easy to predict, but heavier models get expensive quickly, and paid plans are charged per user.
What's good
- Free plan can deploy to Vercel, sync with GitHub and edit visually with Design Mode
- Plus adds $2 of free credits each day you log in, on top of $30 a month
- Token prices are published per model
Watch out for
- Costs rise fast on heavier models: v0 Max is $5 input / $25 output per million tokens
- Free is capped at 7 messages a day, and paid plans are per user
4 Base44
- Paid from
- $20/month (Starter, billed monthly); $16 billed yearly
- Free
- Free plan: 25 message credits a month, up to 5 apps
- Best for
- Full apps with login and a database, for less than Lovable
Base44 builds complete apps (front end, back end, database and user login) from plain-language prompts, and every plan includes the back end, authentication and analytics.
At $20 a month, Starter is $5 cheaper than Lovable's Pro and includes unlimited apps and your own domain. The catch is credits: Starter gets 100 message credits a month, and GitHub integration appears in the plan list only from the $50 Builder plan.
What's good
- Every plan includes a back end and database, user login and analytics
- Starter allows unlimited apps, code edits and your own domain
- Its FAQ says GitHub sync exports the full source code to your repo
Watch out for
- Starter has 100 message credits a month
- GitHub integration and model choice are listed only from Builder ($50/month)

5 Hostinger AI Builder (Horizons)
- Paid from
- $2.99/month on a 48-month term ($143.52 upfront), renews at $10.99/month
- Free
- Free to try with 5 AI credits, no card; 30-day money-back guarantee
- Best for
- A website or simple web app with hosting, domain and email included
Hostinger has merged its Horizons app builder and its website builder into one "AI Builder" with a chat-driven agent mode for web apps, membership sites and portals.
What sets it apart is the bundle: every plan includes hosting, a domain for the first year, mailboxes, a back end and Stripe payments. The headline price needs a four-year prepay and renews at $10.99 a month, and the AI credits (250 on Premium) are a one-time allowance, so this suits a site you'll keep, not heavy daily building.
What's good
- Hosting, a free domain for a year and mailboxes are included
- Every plan includes a back end and Stripe payments
- Free to try with no card
Watch out for
- The $2.99 price needs a 48-month prepay and renews at $10.99 a month
- AI credits are a one-time allowance, and top-up prices aren't shown

6 Bubble
- Paid from
- $32/month (Web Starter, billed monthly); $29 billed yearly
- Free
- Free plan for building only: no live site or custom domain
- Best for
- Serious apps that need web, iOS and Android from one project
Bubble is a visual no-code platform, now with an AI agent, that builds web, iOS and Android apps from the same project.
You pay per app, and usage is measured in "workload units". You can turn off overages to cap the bill, which is wise, because Bubble's pricing page doesn't list a rate for going over.
What's good
- Builds web, iOS and Android apps in one project
- Web Starter includes a live site, your own domain and 175K workload units a month
- Overages can be switched off, with emails at 75% and 100% of usage
Watch out for
- No published rate for workload above your plan
- The free plan can’t go live, and plans are bought per app

7 Dyad
- Paid from
- $20/month (Dyad Pro, 200 AI credits); the app itself is free
- Free
- Free, open-source desktop app; bring your own AI keys
- Best for
- Keeping your code and costs under your control
Dyad is a free, open-source desktop app for macOS, Windows and Linux that builds web apps with the AI model of your choice, including local models through Ollama or LM Studio. There's no sign-up, and the code stays on your machine.
On the free version you pay your model provider directly, which can be far cheaper than credits, or nothing with a local model. Dyad Pro adds its own agent and credits if you'd rather not manage keys.
What's good
- Use any model with your own keys, including offline local models
- Connects Supabase or Neon in one click for the database and login
- No sign-up, and you keep all of your source code
Watch out for
- Free version: you pay the model provider, and the basic agent has a 20-message daily cap
- Pro agent uses credits plus an orchestration fee

8 Softr
- Paid from
- $25/month (Basic, billed monthly); $19 billed yearly
- Free
- Free plan: unlimited apps, 5 users and 5K records
- Best for
- Client portals and internal tools for a business
Softr is built for business tools rather than products: client portals, internal dashboards and forms, with its own database, workflows and integrations.
The free plan is generous on structure (unlimited apps, databases and workflows) but small on AI, with 5 credits a month. It's the right pick when the job is "give my clients a login" rather than "build me an app".
What's good
- Free plan includes unlimited apps, databases, workflows and forms
- Basic adds your own domain and 50K database records
- 50% off for non-profits and education
Watch out for
- AI credits are small: 5 a month on Free and 10 on Basic
- App users are capped, and extra builders cost $5 to $20 a month

Our pick
Bolt.new
For most people leaving Lovable, Bolt.new is the easiest switch. It costs the same $25 a month, its free plan already includes hosting and databases, and unused tokens on Pro roll over to the next month instead of running out.
If you'd rather own everything and pay the AI provider directly, Dyad is free and open source and runs on your own computer, even with local models. If you're building a client portal or internal tool rather than a product, look at Softr.
Questions
What's the best free alternative to Lovable?
Bolt.new's free plan is the most generous of the hosted builders: 1 million tokens a month with hosting and databases included. Dyad is free and open source, but you pay your AI provider (or use a local model).
Is there a cheaper alternative to Lovable?
Base44 and Replit both start at $20 a month against Lovable's $25. Dyad's app is free if you bring your own AI keys. Hostinger's AI Builder starts lower but needs a four-year prepay and renews at $10.99 a month.
Which Lovable alternative lets me export my code?
Dyad keeps all the code on your computer, Base44's FAQ says GitHub sync exports the full source, v0 syncs with GitHub on every plan, and Replit gives you a full coding environment.
