Zoho Mail and Workplace plans now include free ZeptoMail credits
Since August 13, 2026, paid Zoho Mail and Workplace plans come with built-in credits for ZeptoMail transactional email, up to 200,000 emails on Workplace Professional.

Zoho announced on August 13, 2026 that ZeptoMail, its service for transactional email, is now built into Zoho Mail and Zoho Workplace. Paid organizations can opt in from the Zoho Mail Admin Console and get ZeptoMail credits included with their plan. Zoho updated the post on August 24, 2026.
What you get
Transactional email means messages your systems send one at a time, such as password resets, receipts and order updates. Credits are assigned automatically, based on your plan and number of paid users. One credit covers 10,000 emails.
| Plan | Credit rule | Maximum credits | Maximum emails |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mail Lite | 1 credit per 5 users | 10 | 100,000 |
| Workplace Standard | 1 credit per 4 users | 10 | 100,000 |
| Mail Premium | 1 credit per 2 users | 15 | 150,000 |
| Workplace Professional | 1 credit per user | 20 | 200,000 |
For Mail Flexi organizations, Zoho works out credits for each purchased plan tier and adds them together. The FAQ says the included credits last for the full one-year subscription, compared with six months for credits bought on ZeptoMail on its own, and they refresh when you renew. Organizations can buy more credits up to their plan’s maximum, but the post does not list a price. Existing ZeptoMail customers can link their current account to the Admin Console.
The limits
ZeptoMail is for transactional email only. Zoho’s post says it cannot be used to send bulk promotional email, so newsletters and marketing campaigns still need a separate tool.
Who benefits
A small business that runs a store, booking system or app on its own domain can now send its automated emails through the same vendor as its mailboxes, without a second bill for the first tens of thousands of messages. A 10-person team on Mail Lite would get 2 credits, or 20,000 emails, under the rule above.
What to do
If you pay for a separate transactional email service today, compare its monthly volume with your Zoho plan’s allowance, then opt in from the Zoho Mail Admin Console if the included credits cover it.
