Bubble raises its web-only Starter plan price and adds AI credits

Bubble announced on October 6, 2026 that its web-only Starter plan will cost more from October 20, 2026. In the same post it took its AI Agent 2 out of beta and started charging AI credits for building with the Agent.

People on Starter Web or a Starter trial move to the new price at their next renewal. Bubble’s post says you can lock in the $29/mo annual rate for a year by buying the annual plan before October 20. The post names no price change for other plans. Bubble’s pricing page, which shows the combined web and mobile plans, listed Starter at $59/mo billed annually when we read it on October 18, 2026.

AI credits

Building or editing with the Agent, and generating images, now use AI credits. Each app gets a monthly allowance that refreshes on the first of the month:

Generating a new app (including its planning session), the visual editor and the Bubble MCP don’t use credits. Paid apps can buy more credits on the App Plan page, and purchased credits last six months. Free users must upgrade to Starter to buy credits. The post doesn’t give the price of extra credits.

Every app that existed on October 6 gets double its plan’s usual allowance through October 31, 2026. Apps created after October 6, new accounts, trials and apps that change plans in October get the standard amount.

What else launched

Agent 2 replaces the earlier Bubble AI Agent for all apps, including existing ones. Bubble says it is 1.5 times better at building what the user asked for. The Bubble MCP, in beta, lets experienced builders connect their own agent, such as Claude Code or Codex, to edit existing apps. It can’t yet read logs, merge branches or deploy.

What to do

If you plan to keep a web-only Starter app for a year, the annual plan bought before October 20 at $29/mo is the lowest of the three prices above. If you build mostly with the Agent, plan November around the standard credit allowance, since the double allowance ends October 31.
