How we work

Last updated

AskGPU compares GPU clouds, hosts and AI tools on facts you can check yourself: the prices, plans, limits and policies each provider publishes on its own site, read at the source and dated. We haven't tested any product hands-on yet, and we say so on the pages where it matters.

Prices

  • Read on each provider's own pricing page, in US dollars, before tax.
  • Every product shows the date we last checked it. Prices older than 90 days are flagged and read again at the source.
  • For hosting, we show both the introductory price and the renewal price when they differ.
  • A price is only ever a number the provider prints. If a price isn't stated, or a provider's own pages disagree, we say so rather than guess.

Rechecking prices

Prices are rechecked by hand and with a small script that reads providers' official pricing pages and reports any change. The script identifies itself as AskGPU-PriceCheck, obeys each site's robots.txt, reads one page at a time with pauses between requests, and doesn't fetch sites whose terms forbid automated reading. It never changes a price by itself: each change is confirmed at the source before it's published, and the product's "last checked" date moves with it.

Plans, features and specs

What a plan includes, what the free tier allows and what a model is good at come from the provider's own pricing pages, docs and announcements, linked from the page. Benchmark scores and leaderboard ranks are labeled as the maker's or the leaderboard's numbers, not ours.

What we haven't done yet

We haven't run our own benchmarks, uptime monitoring or test rentals, so no page on AskGPU reports speed, uptime or a real bill that we measured. If we add hands-on tests, we'll publish the setup with the results and date them.

Ratings

No product on AskGPU has a score yet: each one shows "Not rated yet". A product gets a score out of 5 only after we've used it ourselves, and that review will say how and when. Lists such as our Top 10 AI models explain how they were chosen; they aren't scores of our own.

Who does this

AskGPU is run by Saurabh Khatri. The rules behind every page are in our editorial policy, and how we make money is in the affiliate disclosure.

Corrections

Prices and plans change often. If you spot something out of date, tell us and we'll recheck it at the source.
