Lovable makes chat free up to a daily allowance on Free, Pro and Business
Since September 24, 2026, chatting with Lovable is free up to a daily allowance. Building, images and video still use credits. The current chat pricing runs through October 31, 2026.
Lovable said on September 24, 2026 that you can now chat with Lovable for free. Free, Pro and Business workspaces get a daily free chat allowance. Chat can help you plan work, read your app’s code and its Lovable Cloud database, and connect to tools such as Notion, Granola and Linear.
What’s free and what isn’t
- Free: chat messages within the daily allowance.
- Still uses credits: when chat generates images or video, or hands work off to Plan or Build (for example, building two drafts at once). The docs count that as build usage at standard prices.
- After the allowance: chat draws on your daily build credits first, then your general credits. The docs say each chat message is priced on the work done to answer it, typically a fraction of a credit.
Neither the post nor the docs give the size of the allowance. The docs say Pro and Business workspaces get a larger daily chat allowance than Free workspaces, and Enterprise plans have no daily chat allowance.
How long it lasts
Lovable’s docs say the current chat pricing, including the per-message price and the daily allowance, applies through October 31, 2026, and call it temporary and subject to change.
One credit balance since June
On June 13, 2026, Lovable merged its build credits and its separate Cloud and AI balance into one credit balance. It said plan prices and the cost of its services stayed the same. Under the current rules:

Free plans also get 4 credits a month for AI features in your apps. Monthly plan credits expire two months after they’re issued, and top-up credits last twelve months.
What to do
If you mostly use Lovable to plan and ask questions about your app, chat now costs little or nothing until October 31. Check the “Plans & credit usage” page after that date, because Lovable says the chat pricing may change.
