Spaceship raises prices on 226 Identity Digital domain endings

Identity Digital, the registry behind hundreds of newer endings such as .live and .studio, raised its prices across the industry on October 6, 2026, and registrars passed the rise on. Spaceship’s notice, last updated September 23, lists new prices for 226 endings. The new prices cover registrations, renewals and transfers.

What changed at Spaceship

Ending	Before	From October 6, 2026
.live	$25.88	$31.05
.life	$28.98	$34.16
.studio	$32.09	$41.40
.solutions	$24.84	$31.05
.ltd	$24.84	$34.16
.events	$36.23	$51.75
.group	$20.70	$22.77
.agency	$24.84	$26.91

Most endings rose by a few dollars a year. A few jumped much more: .navy went from $33.12 to $82.80, .viajes from $34.98 to $77.63 and .memorial from $41.40 to $102.47. Three endings went down to $5.18: .democrat (was $25.88), .republican (was $25.80) and .futbol (was $13.46).

Spaceship says promotional prices already running on new registrations stay in place until each promotion ends. It also says it charges the registry’s cost plus a small fee for payment processing.

Other registrars

Dynadot’s notice of September 29 covers 227 Identity Digital endings, effective at 17:00 UTC on October 6. It lists, for example, .live at $32.32 and .studio at $43.02. Porkbun’s price-change page also lists 227 endings for that date and marks .democrat, .republican and .futbol as price decreases.

What to do

These rises hit renewals, not just new names. If you own one of these endings, look up its renewal price at your registrar before it auto-renews, and compare it with a transfer elsewhere. Dynadot’s notice points out that a transfer adds a year for most endings, so the transfer price is in effect your next renewal.
