Google Registry launches .eat, .fly and .here; open to all November 17

Google Registry's three new endings are in trademark sunrise until November 9, 2026, then early access with an extra fee, and open to everyone from November 17, 2026.

Google Registry launches .eat, .fly and .here; open to all November 17. New endings: .eat, .fly, .here, Sunrise: Sep 1 – Nov 9, 2026, Early access: Nov 10 – 16, 2026, Open to all: Nov 17, 2026.

Google Registry announced on July 27, 2026 that it is launching three new top-level domains this fall: .eat, .fly and .here. Trademark holders have been able to register names since September 1, and anyone will be able to register available names without a launch fee from November 17, 2026.

The three endings

Google pitches each one at a different audience:

  • .eat for restaurants, chefs, food creators and culinary brands.
  • .fly for airlines, travel agencies, travel platforms and aviation fans.
  • .here for local businesses, community guides and location-based sites.

Launch dates

Phase Dates (16:00 UTC) Who can register
Sunrise Sep 1 – Nov 9, 2026 Trademark holders recorded in the Trademark Clearinghouse
Early Access Period Nov 10 – Nov 16, 2026 Anyone, for an extra fee that decreases toward general availability
General availability From Nov 17, 2026 Anyone, with no early access fee

Google says a trademark claims period will run with no end date. During it, trademark owners are notified when a domain matching their mark is registered. ICANN’s sunrise listing shows the same September 1 to November 9 sunrise for all three endings.

Prices and where to buy

The announcement does not give prices, and it does not name the registrars that will sell the endings. It asks interested registrars to contact Google Registry’s support team.

What to do

If you want a short name on one of these endings, early access lets you get it before general availability, but at a higher price that drops toward November 17. Waiting until then costs less but risks losing the name. Whichever you choose, check the yearly renewal price at your registrar before you buy.
