SiteGround adds Node.js app hosting to its GrowBig, GoGeek and Cloud plans

From October 1, 2026, SiteGround's GrowBig (5 projects), GoGeek (10) and Cloud plans can host Node.js apps from GitHub or a ZIP upload, with nothing extra to buy.

SiteGround adds Node.js app hosting to its GrowBig, GoGeek and Cloud plans. GrowBig: 5 Node.js projects, GoGeek: 10 Node.js projects, Cloud: No set limit, Extra cost: None.

SiteGround announced on October 1, 2026 that its GrowBig, GoGeek and Cloud plans can now host Node.js apps, not just PHP sites like WordPress. The feature, called Node.js Projects, sits in the Client Area under Websites. SiteGround’s FAQ says “There’s nothing extra to buy.”

What changed

You add a project from GitHub or by uploading a ZIP file. With GitHub, you connect a repository and pick a branch, and each push to that branch starts a new deployment. A project first runs on a free temporary domain; you point your own domain at it when it’s ready. Settings cover the framework preset, Node version, package manager, build command, output directory and environment variables. Free SSL, MySQL and PostgreSQL databases and email on your own domain are included.

The number of projects is the only limit the post names:

Plan Node.js projects Intro price (12 months prepaid) Renews at
GrowBig 5 $6.69/mo $29.99/mo
GoGeek 10 $10.69/mo $44.99/mo
Cloud As many as you need Not on this page -

Prices are from SiteGround’s web hosting page as we read it on October 18, 2026. The entry StartUp plan ($3.99/mo, renewing at $17.99/mo) is not on the announcement’s list of plans. Otherwise, the post says, Node.js projects share the same resources and features as the other sites on your plan.

Who it’s for

People who build small apps or AI-coded projects in JavaScript and want them on the same account as their WordPress sites, without renting a separate server. Email accounts don’t work on the temporary domain, so connect your own domain before you need mail.

What to do

Check whether 5 or 10 projects is enough before you pick GrowBig or GoGeek, since upgrading the plan is the way to get more. Budget on the renewal price: GrowBig renews at about 4.5 times its first-year price.
