cPanel raises its licence prices again, from December 16, 2026

cPanel has published a 2027 Store Licensing Guide whose prices are “valid from December 16, 2026”. Every licence tier costs more. Trade site webhosting.today reports that cPanel emailed customers the new list on October 8, 2026, a week after a partner email warned that prices would rise again.

What it costs now

Store prices for a Cloud (VPS) licence, billed monthly. The “Now” column is cPanel’s pricing page as we read it on October 18, 2026; that page says its prices exclude VAT.

• Annual Cloud billing in the new guide: $362.89 a year for Solo, $428.89 for Admin and $648.89 for Pro. Premier is billed monthly only.
• Dedicated servers (Metal) can only use Premier, at the same $76.99 a month plus $0.55 per extra account.

Old servers pay a surcharge

Servers still running CentOS 7 or CloudLinux 7 on cPanel v110 stay in the Extended Lifecycle Support program through 2027. From January 1 to December 31, 2027 the guide lists an extra fee per server of $9.90 (Solo), $11.70 (Admin), $17.70 (Pro) or $23.10 (Premier). Moving the server to a supported operating system removes the fee.

Who is affected

Anyone who buys a cPanel licence for their own VPS or dedicated server pays the new prices directly. Shared and reseller hosting customers don’t buy the licence, but their host does, per server and per account. webhosting.today notes that Solo cost $15 a month in June 2019, so the 2027 price is more than double.

What to do

If you pay for cPanel yourself, count your accounts first: six accounts already need Pro, not Admin. If your host runs cPanel, read its renewal notices this winter and compare the renewal price with what you pay today.
