Pika relaunches as a creative platform with 25+ apps for video, image and sound

Pika relaunched its product on September 17, 2026 as the New Pika, an AI platform for video, image and sound. It has more than 25 apps, such as Video Studio, Relight Media, Product Shot and Camera Director. Pika says current users keep their login, and their subscriptions carry over at the same plan and price.

What changed

• Apps instead of one generator. Each app picks a model for the task by default, and you can choose a specific model yourself.
• Models: Seedance, GPT Image, MiniMax H3 and Pika’s own models.
• Video Studio takes up to 50 attached characters, products, settings and styles, called with @mentions, and makes clips up to 30 seconds long with sound.
• No model gating. Pika says every user gets every model and app. Plans differ only in credits and in how many generations run at once.
• Seedance price. Pika says Seedance generations cost half as much as on other creation platforms, as of the launch day. That comparison is Pika’s own.

The old interface stays at old.pika.art “for a few more weeks”, and Pika says it will give notice before it goes. Paid subscribers find their past generations in an “OG Pika” project.

One-time credit packs start at $25 for 1,500 credits, at 60 credits per $1, and expire 365 days after purchase. They work only in Pika Create on pika.art and in Pika’s MCP, not in the API, the iOS app or old.pika.art.

Pika also ran separate API news in the same period: on August 5, 2026 it opened the Pika API Club, and on August 14 it introduced a family of audio models.
