Hostinger opens a Düsseldorf data center and buys 3,000+ servers
Hostinger said on July 28, 2026 that it opened a data center in Düsseldorf, Germany, is adding capacity in Paris and Asheville, and secured over 3,000 servers in a hardware shortage.

Hostinger said on July 28, 2026 that it has opened a new data center in Düsseldorf, Germany, and is expanding capacity in Paris, France, and Asheville, USA. In the same post it said it had bought more than 3,000 servers, its largest order so far, to get through a shortage of server hardware.
What changed
The new servers support “the full product ecosystem”, which the post lists as web hosting, cloud hosting, VPS and related infrastructure products. Hostinger’s 2026 product-updates page lists the Düsseldorf opening and the Paris and Asheville expansion among its July changes. Neither page names which plans can be placed in Düsseldorf.
Why it matters: the hardware shortage
Hostinger calls the shortage “RAMageddon”. Its post blames demand from AI data centers, lower memory production and empty global inventories. The numbers it gives:
- Its overall server costs rose roughly 5 to 6 times compared with the previous year, depending on the configuration.
- Some components cost 6 to 8 times more than in early 2025.
- Lead times grew from a few weeks in 2025 to around 30 weeks, and some manufacturers were sold out for 2026.
Hostinger says the 3,000-server order covers its needs for the full year. The post does not announce any change to customer prices.
Who is affected
Mostly customers in Germany and nearby countries, who now have another location in the region, and anyone waiting on capacity in Paris or the eastern US. The cost figures matter to everyone else: they describe what Hostinger now pays for each new server it adds.
What to do
If server location matters for your visitors or for data rules, ask Hostinger which data centers your plan can use before you buy. If you already host with Hostinger, compare your next renewal quote with the current price list rather than assuming it stays the same.
