DigitalOcean raises H100, H200 and MI300X GPU Droplet prices about 30%

From August 1, 2026, an H100 GPU Droplet costs $4.41 per GPU-hour on demand instead of $3.39. The L40S and RTX Ada Droplets kept their prices.

DigitalOcean raises H100, H200 and MI300X GPU Droplet prices about 30%. H100 on demand: $4.41/hr, H200 on demand: $4.47/hr, MI300X on demand: $2.59/hr, Rise: About 30%. GPU Droplets, on-demand price per GPU-hour: NVIDIA H200 $3.44/hr before, $4.47/hr now, NVIDIA H100 $3.39/hr before, $4.41/hr now, AMD MI300X $1.99/hr before, $2.59/hr now, NVIDIA L40S $1.57/hr before, $1.57/hr now, RTX 6000 Ada $1.57/hr before, $1.57/hr now, RTX 4000 Ada $0.76/hr before, $0.76/hr now.

DigitalOcean raised the on-demand prices of its NVIDIA and AMD GPU Droplets on August 1, 2026. It announced the change in a blog post on July 21, 2026, and gave strong demand for advanced GPU capacity as the reason. The H100, H200 and AMD MI300X Droplets each went up about 30%.

Old and new prices

On-demand price per GPU per hour. Each of these Droplets comes with 1 or 8 GPUs (the L40S and RTX Ada Droplets with 1).

GPU Until July 31 From August 1
NVIDIA HGX H200 $3.44 $4.47
NVIDIA HGX H100 $3.39 $4.41
AMD Instinct MI300X $1.99 $2.59
NVIDIA L40S $1.57 $1.57
NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada $1.57 $1.57
NVIDIA RTX 4000 Ada $0.76 $0.76

The old prices are from DigitalOcean’s pricing page as it stood on July 22, 2026, when it said “New on-demand pricing is coming on August 1, 2026.” The page now also lists the AMD Instinct MI325X on demand at $3.80 per GPU-hour.

Reserved prices

The blog post says 12-month reserved rates changed on August 1 too. If you signed a contract that locks your rate, it stays until the term ends; a renewal moves to the new reserved rate. The page now lists these 12-month reserved prices per GPU-hour: B300 $7.94, H200 $3.40, H100 $3.26, MI350X $4.76, MI325X $2.88 and MI300X $1.91.

Who pays more

Every GPU Droplet running on or after August 1 is billed at the new rate. The higher charges first appeared on the bill dated September 1, 2026. DigitalOcean told customers who didn’t want the new rate to destroy their GPU Droplets by August 1. Powering a GPU Droplet off doesn’t stop the charges: the FAQ says you pay until you destroy it.

What to do

If you run an H100 Droplet around the clock, it now costs about $3,220 a month at $4.41 an hour, against about $2,380 at a 12-month reserved rate of $3.26. Compare both with what other GPU clouds charge before you commit for a year.
