Suno launches v6: v6 and v6-wild for paid plans, v6-mini for everyone
Suno released its v6 music models on September 9, 2026, made with Warner Music Group, BMG and Believe. Pro and Premier get v6 and v6-wild; free users get v6-mini.

Suno released v6, a new generation of its music models, on September 9, 2026. The post by CEO Mikey Shulman says the models were developed with industry partners, including Warner Music Group, BMG and Believe. Suno says it will retire its previous models as v6 rolls out and move the whole service onto the v6 generation.
The three models
| Model | Who gets it | What Suno says it is for |
|---|---|---|
| v6 | Pro and Premier | Reliable, polished music in any genre |
| v6-wild | Pro and Premier | Less predictable, more varied output to explore |
| v6-mini | Everyone | A faster, more efficient version |
Suno’s pricing page matches this: the free plan lists v6-mini as its model, and Pro and Premier list v6 and v6-wild.
New features
- Edit part of a song with plain-language instructions while keeping the rest.
- Change a single lyric without rebuilding the song.
- Build a mashup from several sources in one request.
- Sample, isolate and build a new beat in one workflow.
- Create from text, audio, images and video.
Suno also says it now screens uploaded audio and lyrics for unauthorized use, and that it plans opt-in experiences where artists who take part get paid.
What each plan includes
From Suno’s pricing page on October 18, 2026:
| Plan | Credits | Song downloads | Commercial use | Audio upload |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 50 a day | None | No | Up to 8 min |
| Pro | 2,500 a month | 20 a month | Yes | Up to 30 min |
| Premier | 10,000 a month | 60 a month | Yes | Up to 30 min |
Subscription credits don’t carry over from day to day or month to month. Bought top-up credits don’t expire but need an active subscription. The page shows prices in the visitor’s local currency, so we leave them out here. The launch post doesn’t mention any price change.
If you need songs for videos or other work you publish commercially, note that the free plan has no monthly downloads and no commercial rights. The pricing page also points to Suno’s terms of service for limits on commercial use, so read those before you pay.
