Render cuts Key Value prices by 20% to 45% and adds 3 GB and 50 GB plans
From October 1, 2026, Render's 1 GB Key Value plan costs $20/mo instead of $32, and the 40 GB plan $600 instead of $1,100. Existing paid instances get the lower prices automatically.

Render lowered the price of its Key Value plans with 1 GB of RAM or more on October 1, 2026. Key Value is Render’s managed, Redis-compatible data store. Render’s announcement puts the cuts at 20% to 45%, and it added two new sizes, 3 GB and 50 GB, to fill gaps in the range.
What it costs now
We compared Render’s pricing page on October 18, 2026 with the same page as archived on September 1, 2026.
| RAM | Before | From October 1, 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| 25 MB | Free | Free |
| 256 MB | $10/mo | $10/mo |
| 1 GB | $32/mo | $20/mo |
| 3 GB | (new) | $60/mo |
| 5 GB | $135/mo | $100/mo |
| 10 GB | $250/mo | $200/mo |
| 20 GB | $550/mo | $350/mo |
| 40 GB | $1,100/mo | $600/mo |
| 50 GB | (new) | $750/mo |
The changelog says the 3 GB plan allows up to 3,000 simultaneous connections and the 50 GB plan up to 50,000. The largest size is now 50 GB, up from 40 GB.
Who is affected
Render says existing paid Key Value services move to the new prices automatically from October 1, with no action needed. The free plan and the 256 MB plan keep their prices.
Check the limits too
The two pricing pages differ in more than price. The current page lists the 10 GB plan with a Standard CPU; on September 1 it was listed as High CPU. It also lists lower connection limits for the two smallest paid plans: 200 instead of 250 for 256 MB, and 250 instead of 1,000 for 1 GB. Render’s announcement doesn’t mention these changes.
What to do
If your app opens many connections to a 256 MB or 1 GB instance, check the current limit in the dashboard before you rely on it. If you moved off Render’s Key Value because of price, the new 1 GB and 5 GB prices are worth a second look.
